  I'm sure the food is lovely but will never know. On our holidays on a boat pulled up at 3pm and wandered the village! The only pub in the village and granted looks lovely but upon going in to book a table was told yes we will try and fit you in tonight but then upon learning we were off a boat then told us they had a function and we're fully booked and would turn people away throughout the evening due to the size of their kitchen! So everything went from being positive to booking a table to all of a sudden theirs a functiona and they can't cater for that many people! Personally it's a massive pub that has lots of room and should have a kitchen that can cater for the whole pub as in my opinion a pub of the year should never have to turn any customer away.

  Fantastic pub!! Huge selection of well kept ales. Funky layout and decor. Small well-decked-out courtyard with seating. Food was great too!! Well worth the visit but be aware that parking for boats is limited.

  The food was lovely and obviously freshly made. It does get very busy and you generally need to book but we were lucky enough to get there early enough to just sit. They also have some really nice local beers on tap.
